The nineteenth-century building has no elevator and you have to climb a 61-step staircase; a bit tiring. The entrance and the staircase of the building are not well-kept or elegant.
At a distance of 200 metres Piazza Tasso with its shops, bars, restaurants, boutiques, the typical narrow streets of Sorrento, the chapel of S.Francis where concerts and exhibitions are held.
